Tribute to Tiffany
This pattern uses the Victorian method of creating stained glass
designs. There are no black bias strips covering raw edges of
fabric nor is this style a reverse appliqué method. It is simply
appliquéing colored fabric onto black fabric leaving irregular spaces
in between the colors exposing the black background. Each pattern
describes both the fusible web and freezer paper methods.
Victorian Style enables you to work quickly, work with smaller
pieces than the traditional bias tape approach would permit, and
closely approximates the look of a leaded Tiffany design without
reverse appliqué. This technique produces an irregular leading effect
more closely representing the black leading found in real glass work.
This pattern includes a double sided bonus color insert of the
step-by-step process. Directions and photos lead you through pattern
placement, piecing using either fusible web construction or freezer
paper methods, and final assembly. Each pattern element is
